Cowboy Western Comics #17

An anthology western comic featuring multiple stories. "Texas Ranger in Mistaken Identity" follows a ranger who encounters Pop Nugent Shore and must retrieve a horse after being shot and thrown from it. Another story depicts Paul Apushin and "Babe" Apullin's effort to construct the St. Lawrence River, involving Paul stopping a dump truck and completing the waterway project. A third tale shows Wild Bill Hickok in a confrontation where he kills six opponents in a single day, earning him recognition as a new fighting man to be reckoned with.
