Weird Tales, Vol. 7, No. 3

This March 1926 issue of *Weird Tales* contains five short stories and a serialized novella. "Lochinvar Lodge" by Clyde Burt Clasoa centers on three young people who explore a supposedly haunted castle in Colorado with a history of disappearances. "The Jungle Monsters" by Paul S. Powers describes frightening adventures among gigantic insects. "A Message From Space" by J. Schlossel involves giant twin stars attempting to alter a planet's orbit. "Something Toothsome" by Arthur J. Burks presents a weird crime and a hideously deformed protagonist. "Dead In Three Hours" by Elwin J. Owens features cyclones and sudden death. The issue includes H.G. Wells' "A Dream of Armageddon," depicting warfare; Edgar Allan Poe's reprinted "The Mask of the Red Death"; and the concluding installment of "Red Ether" by Pettersen Marasona, involving destructive radio-transmitted rays. Additional contributions include "The Music of Madness" and various other stories emphasizing horror, science fiction, and supernatural themes.
