*El Templo de los Siete Ídolos* by Curtis Garland, issue 88 of the Tam-Tam pulp collection (Editorial Bruguera, 1984). An action adventure serial opening with "Hombre sin Bandera" (Man Without a Flag). Protagonist Percy Cole, a mercenary helicopter pilot operating in the Bay of Bengal region, engages in aerial combat with two black fighter jets piloted by agents of Kwan Koo, a wealthy international trafficker and "Modern Pirate of Bengal." After destroying one aircraft and damaging the second, Cole delivers a cargo of medicines and chemicals to Port Blair, Andamán Island. At the hotel bar, Cole reunites with May, a red-haired female entertainer who performs with a cobra snake named "Vicky"—a gift Cole had previously given her. The narrative emphasizes Cole's amoral mercenary philosophy, his rivalry with Kwan Koo, and romantic intrigue in an exotic colonial setting.
