Huellas sobre la arena
Catalog Note: *Huellas sobre la Arena* by W. Sampas This Spanish-language science fiction serial, published by Ediciones Toray in 1961, follows wealthy Venusian industrialist Edward Orwin and his troubled daughter Lucie. Set on Venus, the narrative opens at an elegant party where Lucie, beautiful but restless and spoiled, harbors bitter resentment toward her father inherited from her deceased mother Emma. Lucie is romantically entangled with Alf Stewson, a charming but parasitic drifter involved in gambling debts. When Alf attempts to steal Lucie's valuable necklace on the terrace, Edward intervenes. A violent confrontation ensues as Alf, revealed to have a rough past in Tokyo's street gangs, attacks Edward and his brother Lewis. After guests separate the fighters, Edward orders Alf from the house. Alf departs with threats of future violence. The second chapter begins introducing a character named Red Hudson.
