Banda de Telépatas
This Spanish science-fiction pulp tells of a meticulously coordinated bank robbery in New York. A blonde woman and six men use a nervous-gas anesthetic dispersed from a liquid agent in the Central Bank, along with protective masks. The criminals disable the bank's electronic alarm systems and photoelectric cells while employees and customers collapse from the gas. Bank superintendent Cower descends armed, is shot by one robber, and dies. The thieves escape with millions in currency and negotiable securities within eight minutes, dispersing individually to a rendezvous villa north of the city. Police arrive after the narcotic effects wear off. Inspector Steward investigates Cower's murder. The narrative's title references "telepaths," though the OCR here shows primarily the heist mechanics. Chapter Two begins with Cower's nervous assistant Wer Hutman being questioned by Steward about his presence in Philadelphia during the robbery.
