This issue contains eight fiction pieces across multiple genres. "Live Cargo" by Francis Lynde features night ships out of Cuba. "The Congressional Guard" by Captain Ralph R. Guthrie is a short story set in Peru's hall of fame. B. M. Bower's novelette "Where Stillwater Runs Deep" follows a forest ranger operating independently. John Buchan's four-part serial "The Goddess from the Shades" continues in part three, set in the Greek Islands. Additional shorts include "Breakfast at the Plaza" by Fred MacIsaac concerning rich and poor men, "Barking Dogs Never Bite?" by James Parker Long about a master and servant, and "Einstein, Fine Gentleman" by Charles R. Barnes set on Ascension day in Wall Street. The issue also includes poetry and a sketch, with advertisements for vocational training, etiquette books, and consumer goods interspersed throughout.
