Indiana James: Los hijos del átomo
Museum Catalog Note "Los hijos del átomo" (The Sons of the Atom), serialized adventure fiction featuring the character Indiana James. The installment opens in Killarney, Ireland, where James and his companion Gronk, a taciturn man of Native Canadian origin, are stranded and broke. James discovers that Gronk possesses a two-year-old letter from the Canadian government identifying him as hereditary chief of the Sarcee tribe, entitled to claim ancestral tribal lands in Calgary, Alberta. After a failed attempt to interest American journalist Zenna Davis in the story via transatlantic telephone, Davis unexpectedly calls back, commissioning James to investigate and report on the tribe's land reclamation. The narrative emphasizes comic misadventure—particularly Gronk's prodigious beer consumption—alongside the setup for a larger expedition to Canada. The tone blends humor, adventure, and human-interest journalism angles.
