Competencia mortal
Catalog Description *Competencia Mortal* (Deadly Competition), by Rocco Sarto, is a Spanish-language crime-adventure serial from 1982. The narrative follows Joe Miller, a taciturn dockside resident who cares for his incapacitated friend Gordon. Set in a seedy port district, the opening chapter depicts Miller's evening at a disreputable cantina called "La Ruina," where he encounters brutal enforcers Rocksy and Ronald extorting the bartender Robin and assaulting a young prostitute named Felicia. Miller intervenes violently, systematically disabling both assailants through combat—breaking Ronald's wrist and crushing his skull, then fracturing Rocksy's clavicles and hand through methodical strikes. After tending his superficial knife wound, Miller declines Felicia's proposition, mentioning he must deliver sports newspapers to Gordon. The narrative combines hardboiled noir elements with graphic action sequences, establishing Miller as a capable but reluctant fighter operating within the port's criminal underworld.
