Archivo Secreto: "Brigitte en Acción"
This Spanish-language spy pulp serial, written by Lou Carrigan, follows CIA agent Brigitte Montfort ("Baby"), a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist working undercover at the New York Morning News. The story opens with unknown adversaries planning to capture her, having discovered her CIA identity. After requesting the night off from editor Miky Grogan, Brigitte prepares for an evening at the theater with "Número Uno," her mysterious superior and romantic interest. Her colleague Frankie Minello encounters her in the building's lobby; while they converse, Brigitte suddenly suffers a severe headache and collapses without apparent cause. Número Uno arrives moments later and finds her unconscious. When she revives, she cannot explain what happened, though the incident suggests she may be the target of the mind-reading threat referenced in the opening section.
