Victor L Craw, Jr. EDITORIAL DEPARTMENT Department of the Reproduction of Motion Pictures If aviation magazines do carry motion pictures, they are few and far between, therefore we are proud to announce that AIR WONDER STORIES is launching a brand new idea — the creation of a magazine to be supplemented each month by a motion picture of one of the stories in that particular issue. This motion picture will be made available at a nominal cost. The motion picture department of our magazine will handle both production and distribution, under the direction of Victor L. Craw, Jr. A serial story of sixteen episodes is already in the works, and contracts with moving picture companies are being negotiated for the production of feature films based on our short stories. Whenever you see an Aviation Wonder Stories picture before your eyes on the silver screen, you'll know it came from our magazine. EDITORIAL COMMENT It is the opinion of the editor of this magazine that the immediate future of aviation has more possibilities than any other field of future science and engineering which we could venture to predict. Aviation will revolutionize our modes of transportation, our commerce, business, social intercourse and warfare. Many of the problems of aviation, however, remain unsolved. The greatest of these problems is the reduction of weight, the improvement of power plants, and the solution of the problems of fuel. When these problems are solved, aviation will come into its own. The fiction contained in the magazine is designed to bring before the public the great possibilities of aviation. In all our stories we have tried to keep one foot firmly planted on the ground of reality. This magazine will be a most valuable asset to those who are interested in the
