The Argosy, Volume XXIX (December 1898–March 1899)
This publication collects fiction across multiple formats. Complete novels include *The Fetters of Ignacio* by Henry Harrison Lewis, set in the Philippine Islands following a shipwreck; *The Queen's Body Guard* by Douglas Zabriske Doty; *The Captain of the Burgher Guards* by John P. Ritter; and *The Gold Hunters of the Mountain Star* by Captain R. M. Hawthorne. Serial narratives span several issues, including *A Dash for a Throne* by Arthur W. Marchmont, *In Perilous Ways* by William W. Russ, *The Hermit's Secret* by Oliver Optic, *A Queen of Atlantis* by Frank Aubrey, and *The Brotherhood of Silence* by Frederic V. R. Dey. The volume also features approximately twenty short stories by various authors and numerous poems.
