May 1969 Issue Contents This issue features Edmond Hamilton's "The Horror from the Magellanic," the fourth novelette in his "Star Kings" series, depicting the continuing adventures of John Gordon across time in a far-future galactic empire. The narrative involves Gordon defending the empire against aliens from the Magellanic Clouds and an internal coup attempt by the throne-seeker Narath, who has allied with mysterious telepathic beings called the HTiam—revealed as agents of extragalactic invaders. The issue also contains Murray Leinster's "The Invaders," a complete short novel; Milton Lesser's novelet "King of the Black Sunrise"; Ray Russell's short story "Yesterdays"; and Frank Freeman's "Wish It Away." Regular features include Ted White's editorial discussing science fiction's "roots" and new wave movements, a film review of *Barbarella*, and an article on race-zoology and politics.
