Pulp Magazine Cover, October 1959
This document is not pulp fiction but rather U.S. Air Force UFO investigation records from Project Blue Book (Project 10073). It comprises official military incident reports dated October 21-23, 1959, regarding a sighting near Olcott, New York. A 79-year-old civilian observer reported viewing a small silver object, pin-head sized, reflecting sunlight like a mirror for five hours, moving slowly northwestward overhead then fading from view. Military interceptors were vectored to the area but the pilot sighted nothing. An F-102 aircraft was dispatched from Syracuse. The investigation notes weather conditions, wind patterns, and the possibility that sharp atmospheric inversion effects caused light reflections from Lake Ontario. A deflated balloon was reportedly found southeast of the area. The conclusion section remains unchecked, leaving the object's identification inconclusive.
