The materials document an unidentified object detected on surveillance radar near Grand Bahama Island and Bimini, Bahamas on March 13, 1959. The radar operator—a trained civilian employee at an Air Force research center—observed the object maneuvering at speeds of 2000-3300 knots, executing circular and figure-eight patterns over approximately 25 minutes before disappearing from the scope. The object was observed converging on a missile during a subsonic test. Multiple personnel filed identical reports. Subsequent official correspondence requests additional technical data regarding the missile test parameters, aircraft locations, and naval units in the area to evaluate whether the object was conventional aircraft, a missile, or unknown.
