A subsequent military intelligence cable details the sighting more explicitly: aircrew noticed a red light initially about the size of the brightest star, later appearing half again larger, with varying color and movement. The object appeared at specific clock positions relative to the aircraft heading. Ground intelligence analysis emphasized the observers stated it was not a reflection or aircraft, citing its extremely smart maneuvers and structural observations.
