This document is a Project 10073 record card—a UFO sighting report form used by the U.S. Air Force. The report documents an observation from 28 December at 00:34-00:37 GMT involving three intense lights in trail formation, so closely grouped that a dime would cover all three. The lights traveled westward and disappeared below the horizon. The observation lasted 2-3 seconds and was made through visual ground observation. The source was civilian. Initial conclusions suggest the sighting was probably a meteor, though possibly astronomical or aircraft. A follow-up note five minutes later records that a known jet aircraft was in the area with navigation lights visible on the horizon, leading investigators to conclude the lights may have been high-speed jet navigation lights. The report was filed by 1/LT. Frank J. Seidl, Direction Center Chief.
