This document is a Project 10073 record card—a U.S. Air Force UFO sighting report dated September 13, 1954, from New Baden, Illinois. An observer, a senior electrical engineer at Scott Air Force Base, reported a rectangular, box-shaped object approximately the size of an automobile, observed for six seconds during early morning fishing. The object displayed a red and pinkish glow in its upper left corner and green-blue fluorescent coloring across the remainder of its body. The witness spotted it at approximately 10 degrees elevation before it disappeared behind trees, apparently descending. Air Force intelligence concluded the sighting was likely a reflection from aircraft, though no aircraft were reported in the vicinity at the time.
