Amazing Stories, July 1952

This pulp magazine issue contains two purported U.S. Air Force UFO investigative reports, both heavily redacted. The first details a sighting over Chicago's Northwest Side on July 19, 1952, wherein a civilian woman reported observing approximately six round objects moving independently around 2200 hours near Balmoral and Ashland Avenues. The objects allegedly maneuvered in no discernible formation on both horizontal and vertical planes, appeared larger than stars but smaller than the moon, and moved rapidly. The second report concerns seven disc-shaped objects sighted near Yarmouth Harbor, Nova Scotia, on July 27, 1952, around 1630 hours. According to the witness, the objects formed geometric patterns—half-circles and full circles arranged in triangular configuration—remained stationary briefly while flickering, then descended slowly before disappearing near the horizon. Both reports describe silvery, polished objects reflecting sunlight, with official routing to Air Materiel Command.
