This document comprises military communications concerning an unidentified flying object sighting reported on June 25, 1952. An individual near Meade, Kansas reported observing an object exhibiting "intermittent fire" traveling northwestward, visible for approximately two seconds at an estimated altitude between 20,000 and 49,000 feet. The sighting occurred at 2200 Central Time. Weather data from multiple Kansas locations—Garden City, Dodge City, and Hutchinson—recorded thin scattered clouds, varying visibility, and westerly winds. Air Force officials noted no aircraft were in the area and no meteorological conditions accounted for the sighting. No photographic evidence was available. The report was transmitted through the Flight Service Center at Olmsted Air Force Base, Pennsylvania to the Secretary of Defense and Air Defense Command, classified as CIRVIS (Communications Instructions for Reporting Vital Intelligence Sightings).
