It details an unidentified aerial phenomena sighting observed on March 17, 1950, near Adams Field, Little Rock, Arkansas. A 50-year-old flight operator piloting an aircraft reported observing 6-18 round or octagonal black objects at approximately 50 degrees elevation, roughly 10-15 miles distant, visible for about 8 minutes. The objects initially appeared as a large plane, then executed a sudden 90-degree turn from southeast to southwest. Viewed through the aircraft's plexiglass windshield, they disappeared when the pilot descended to land. A student pilot in the same aircraft, Thomas Tanner, did not corroborate the sighting.
