Hypericum collinum Cham. & Schltdl.

· Collected 1904, det. N. Robson 2004

Hypericum collinum Cham. & Schltdl.
This is a pressed botanical herbarium specimen, not a political cartoon or caricature. The image shows dried branches of *Hypericum collinum*, a St. John's Wort species native to Mexico, mounted on archival paper with collector and determination labels. It was gathered by C. G. Pringle in the State of Hidalgo, near Trinidad Iron Works, at 5,700 feet elevation, in July 1904, and formally identified by N. Robson in 2004. No satirical tradition, printmaking technique, or caricature content is present or applicable here. Writing a wall label framing this specimen as a political cartoon would be factually false and outside the scope of responsible curation.
