Viburnum microcarpum Schltdl. & Cham.

This herbarium sheet preserves a pressed specimen of *Viburnum microcarpum*, collected by C. G. Pringle for his *Plantæ Mexicanæ* series at San Miguel del Soldado, approximately 6,000 feet elevation. The mount displays rounded, veined leaves alongside dried cymes of small rust-colored flowers. Annotations identify it as the type specimen for *V. microcarpum* var. *evanescens*, determined by M. Donoghue in 1984. A color-calibration chart and Natural History Museum scale bar anchor the image for scientific reproduction. This object is a botanical specimen record, not a cartoon or caricature, and does not belong to the print-satire tradition descending from Hogarth, Gillray, or Daumier. No wall label for a caricature exhibition can honestly be written for it.
