Herbarium Type Specimen: Rhynchospora radicans
· Collected c. 1829, mounted for the Natural History Museum, London
This is a pressed and mounted herbarium specimen affixed to archival board with paper strips, bearing hand-inked collector notes, printed barcodes, a color-calibration chart, and a ruled scale bar. The labels identify it as the holotype collection of *Dichromena radicans* Schltdl. & Cham. (*Linnaea* 6:28, 1831), later reclassified as *Rhynchospora radicans*, a sedge of the family Cyperaceae.
