Polygonum meisnerianum var. beychianum (Cham. & Schltdl.) Meisn

This is a botanical herbarium specimen, not a political cartoon or caricature. Two pressed and mounted plant specimens — collected in Paraguay by Dr. E. Hassler as part of his *Plantae Paraguarienses* series — are affixed to archival sheet with paper tabs. The plants show lance-shaped leaves, slender branching stems, and small terminal flower clusters characteristic of the knotweed family (Polygonaceae). Catalogue numbers 3928 and 6422 are inscribed in the collector's hand. No satirical tradition applies here. Attempting to frame this herbarium sheet within the Hogarth–Gillray–Daumier–Nast lineage of print caricature would be factually false. The image is a scientific document, not a graphic art object.
