Heliotropium salicioides Cham., Type Specimen
· Collected 1841–1842, Bahia, Brazil

This is a herbarium sheet, not a cartoon or caricature. It holds pressed botanical specimens of *Heliotropium salicioides* collected by J.S. Blanchet (nos. 3402 and 3402b) in Bahia, Brazil, and held by the Natural History Museum, London. The sheet carries a 'SYN TYPE SPECIMEN' label referencing *H. strictissimum* A.DC. A color-calibration card and metric rule were added for photographic reproduction. No satirical, printmaking, or caricature tradition applies here. Writing a wall label framing this specimen as political satire would be factually false, and no honest curatorial label can be produced on that premise for this image.
