Cordia insignis Cham. — Herbarium Type Specimen
This is not a cartoon or caricature. The image shows a pressed-plant herbarium sheet: three dried branch clusters of *Cordia insignis* Cham. (Boraginaceae), their rounded flower-heads brown and papery, mounted with white paper strips on card. A printed label reads Type Specimen — meaning this individual sheet is the nomenclatural anchor for the species name in botanical law. Collected by W. F. Leeson in 1886 in Matto Grosso, Brazil, it carries a handwritten annotation comparing it to *C. villosa*. Museum barcode BM000806185 and a color-calibration chart appear at lower right. No satire tradition applies here; this is natural-history documentation, not graphic art.
