Cuphea calophylla Cham. & Schltdl.

This is a herbarium specimen sheet showing pressed and mounted branches of *Cuphea calophylla*, a small-leaved flowering plant in the loosestrife family (Lythraceae), collected in central and southern Paraguay by Dr. Emil Hassler during his *Plantae Paraguarienses* expeditions. Two collection numbers (2103 and 5549) are mounted together. The specimen belongs to the history of natural history illustration and specimen collection practices.
