Herbarium Type Specimen: Drejerella fulvicoma (Schltdl. & Cham.) Lindau
This is a pressed botanical type specimen, not a cartoon or caricature, and no honest wall label for a print-satire exhibition can be written for it. The sheet shows dried branches of *Beloperone pringlei* Watson (now *Drejerella fulvicoma*), collected by C. G. Pringle in Nuevo León and deposited at the Natural History Museum, London (BMC000892586). A color-calibration chart and scale rule aid photographic documentation. The pencilled note records pollen removal for SEM analysis. It belongs to the tradition of natural-history illustration and systematic botany, not to the Hogarth–Gillray–Daumier lineage of graphic satire from which comics descend. No fabricated label will be supplied.
