From the exhibition
Lafoensia vandelliana Cham. & Schltdl.
· Collected 1878–1884; det. 1999

This is a herbarium specimen sheet, not a cartoon or caricature. It shows a pressed botanical sample — woody stem, dried elliptical leaves, and desiccated terminal flower buds — mounted on archival paper with a color-calibration chart, a metric scale rule, and a handwritten label identifying the plant as *Lafoensia vandelliana*, a South American tree in the family Lythraceae. The collection data reads "B. Balansa — Pl. du Paraguay — 1878–1884," with a 1999 determination by Julián Molero. No satirical content, printmaking tradition, or caricature is present. Writing a comic-art wall label for this object would be factually false.
