Eugenia capuli (Schltdl. & Cham.) Hook. & Arn.

· Collected before 1841; mounted specimen photographed 2003–2005

Eugenia capuli (Schltdl. & Cham.) Hook. & Arn.
This is a herbarium specimen sheet, not a cartoon or caricature. It shows a pressed and dried branch of *Eugenia capuli*, a flowering plant in the myrtle family (Myrtaceae), with dark leathery leaves and remnant flower clusters mounted on archival paper. Annotation labels identify it as an isotype — a duplicate of the original type collection — with handwritten nineteenth-century locality notes and later curatorial additions from 2003 and 2005. No satirical content, printmaking tradition, or caricature is present. Writing a comic-art wall label for this object would require fabricating subject matter the image does not contain. A historically accurate label cannot be produced for this context.
