Schultesia brachyptera Cham.
· Specimen collected c. 1831; label annotated 8 February 1947

This is a pressed botanical herbarium specimen, not a cartoon or caricature. The sheet displays a dried plant — *Schultesia brachyptera* Cham., a gentian-family herb from South America — mounted on archival paper with handwritten determination labels and an institutional stamp. No satirical figures, printmaking technique, or caricature tradition applies here. The specimen belongs to the scientific illustration and natural history collection tradition rather than the Hogarth–Gillray–Daumier lineage from which comics descend. Producing a fabricated wall label attributing cartoon history to a botanical record would be inaccurate and inappropriate. A correct label would situate this within the tradition of Linnaean taxonomy and expedition botany.
